Hello Everyone, First, I want to start off by saying Thank You all for your hard work everyday to help bring everyone some great deals you all are A+. Second, this is my very first time writing in the fourm so please be nice to me as I do not know as much as most of you so please don't assume I do if I make a mistake.

Ok here we go, I frequently auction things off on ebay and from time to time buy stuff myself. I have been looking for a laptop for some time know but nothing has really jumped out and got my attention yet. Today I received this email. I looked at their laptops and I saw the Fx-340 for really cheap considering everywhere else I have looked at the same laptop cost around $1,400.00. Please help look into this company and see if it is really a good deal and if it is ligit.

Are you sure that you did get that in your mail?

Didn't you get it from somewhere else?

If you got it on the mail...be aware that any store that the only payment methods they accept is a Bank transfer or "semi-paypal" payments...is provably not legit.

And by the way how did they managed not to show up in the "wois?" in networksolutions?

Any ideas?

The address they give, "1060 Wein" is Vienna, Austria and the address of their bank is in Latvia. You have about a 1 in 1000 chance of actually seeing a laptop if you order one from these guys.

Uh, I never see a Happy Little Yellow Lock in IE, so I don't know about you, but being as I never submit my info unsecure in the US, I sure as heck am not going to submit it overseas. :) Definitely stay AWAY!

Besides that he posts this...

"Please help look into this company and see if it is really a good deal and if it is ligit."

How many people are going to ask people to see if it's legit if they are in on it and know it's scandalous?

Read between the lines and give the guy a break.

There is a ring of well known theives operating from Austria with laptop scams. They have been doing fake auctions on Yahoo Auctions for some time. If a business ONLY accepts wire-transfer it has a 103% chance of being a scam. Don't be a fool.

Hold on a second! First of all I signed up just a few days ago for thee fourm service. I have been looking around for the past few months and loved what all of you do. I waited to sign up until I found something that I can contribute to. I am not in any way shape or form a part of that web site. I bid on the same laptop last week and lost because the bidding went to high and I guess this person went through all the people bidding on this laptop and sent them emails through ebay to advertise their web site. So after I saw the email I said why not go check it out. So I did. The fx-340 looked like a hot deal so I though before I jump on it I should ask people who are better at finding out if a deal is a good one or a bad one. Thats why I signed up and thats why I shared it with you all. For all you people that jump to stupid conclusions such as me being in on that web site go drink a beer and relax and read my first post again. I simply posted a "POSSIBLE" hot deal and asked for help finding out if it is a good one or not. "Ligit" And at the very bottom I stated I hope it is a good deal for us and if not lets shut them down so honest people like us don't get screwed. To many people on here assume that everyone else on here Should and Do know as much as them why dont you people take into account that some people have to startfrom scratch and learn some things before we are ever on your level of computer expertese. You should give some of us a break. I was simply trying to do a good thing and help find a good deal for all of us and I guess its not so sorry. If anyone does try this deal please let me know if it works out. If it is a bad deal indeed then lets try to shut them down and how would we go about doing that. I am still in the process of looking for a good laptop for myself anyone have any sugestions on what the best deal would be on a good laptop. Thanks for all you who stood up for me to. We all have to make our first post sometime right. Give us a chance to learn and figure out how some things work. Gwindel
