If you've recently bought something from the Macys.com clearance sale, just FYI the B&M store rings the item differently than the web prices. For example, my $50 Kenneth Cole jacket rang up as $140...I only had the shipping invoice which didn't show the amount I paid for it. They offered to just credit any card I wanted, but I just wanted to do a size exchange so I passed on their offer. I guess it depends on the person doing the return, so YMMV. Maybe a free $300 and a guilty consciensce is worth more than that Alfani leather jacket you just got ;)

You can think about your guilty conscience for a month somewhere other than AnandTech.

I Tried to take back a robe that I got for 14$ the tag said that it sells for 95$ 2 weeks ago. I took it to macys B&M the guy said that it was bought from macys.com because it did not have a little sticker with a barcode on the tag. All macys B&M stores have a little sticker on the tag it stores the info in the barcode when they scan it.

What on earth would prompt you to post something which has NO purpose except fraud?

BAD BAD BAD! When I went to do a return, one associate didn't know how to do it, while another one did. But I didn't want to take the chance of giving them an outrageous price...it's just wrong, and it won't work.

I have a better deal than that, just go into any store and STEAL something!, yup, you can take anything you want, but the smaller and more expensive the better, then you can return it and get store credit or sometimes CASH! The stupid clerk may get fired or reprimanded but who cares, it's not you right?
Oh oh oh, I forgot, theres a new one I'm working on that is less risky, all you have to do is walk up to a store window late at night .......... hold on, have you heard this one already?

To all who are replying that this seems SO WRONG....:Q

What about the 5 cent screw from DELL with free shippping? What is the difference?

Or what about trying to take advantage of every TRUE price mistake on a website?
A DVD rewriter at Wal-Mart for $90 that was supposed to sell for $500 +...

Please step down from thine high horses and quit calling the kettle black.

90% of the people on this site are here trying to WORK THE SYSTEM.

PEACE :p

"Working (DEFRAUDING) the system" is NOT the system we support. If that is why you are on our forums, you should find another forum. If you ever get up on YOUR high horse like this again, it will be your last post on AnandTech.
