yes i do have issues with the gameplay. what is there exactly for *ME* to do in this game.

the mini-mini-game where i dodge bullets with the heart? pressing spacebar ?

that's all the gameplay this game requires of me. i am not impressed.

Got the game cos I saw TotalBiscuit praising this as well. Met the same enemies multiple times(froggit, a sulking fly, a jello). Got a little pissed off with that. Hope it picks up.
But that music though. Wow. Just wow. Reminded me of Braid.

The normal enemy battles don't really pick up too much (though dialogue can be hilarious), but every now and then you'll meet a special enemy. One that isn't really a boss, but more complex than a normal random enemy. Then you have boss battles, those are always different.

The soundtrack is incredible. I reccomend listening to it after you finish your run through, as some titles spoil parts of the game. It's not too bad though, so listening wouldn't really hurt anything.

The different boss battles incorporate platforming, rhythm game and shmup elements. The battles aren't just dodging projectiles.

It's okay if you don't like the game, it's clearly not for everyone, but you shouldn't talk about a bunch of gameplay you haven't encountered.

you know that argument has been done to death already: "it gets good 15 hours in". they say the same for torture, but i wouldn't know because spoiled old me wants it to be good from the start.

also, chiptune is done and over.

The argument isn't that it gets good, the argument is that you don't know what you're talking about because you didn't play most of the game, yet you keep making these comments about what the whole game is like. Some especially ridiculous ones like how the game has gameplay like Gone Home.

I mean, the soundtrack isn't even anywhere close to pure chiptune, again you'd know that if you played it.

No one's telling you to stick with the game if you don't like it, just to stop talking about it as if you've actually played more than a small part of it.

My daughter loves this game. She binge played it through. I watched her and tried to help her through some of the schmup parts, but damn.. they are hard. After endless trying, she beat it in like a day I think.

Here's what amazes me. I put my xbox controller in for the schmup parts, and could not do as well as my daughter with the arrow keys on the keyboard.. dayum!!

Personally, I still don't really like the graphics. Wish they were at least Chrono Trigger level, but the music is really good.
