k, so i got a 500g HDD. was working great since i got it. but now recently, i think i'm having issues with it.
i can open winamp and play music and when i try to open a video file from my 500g HD, the music being played becomes srsly distorted. it will play fine for a second or two but then become muffled and distorted.
only happens when i access the 500g HD. if i open a video from different HD, no problem at all. it also happens when i have winamp open and trying to back up a dvd to the 500g HD (the backing up has low level priority).
the music is not 500g HD. i don't know if its coincidence or not, but i noticed the issue appear shortly after switching to uTorrent software, but i can't imagine it adversely harming my hard drive.
it seems like its some sort of access issue and i can only think its a hard drive issue, not any other component.
also, the 500g HD is not the OS. music is on drive H, tested video files on all other hard drives, and when i backup a DVD to another hd other then the 500g, no problems.
anybody have any ideas?
