I have an office of about 20 computers. Our current DSL connection is at 768/128. Verizon said we are too far to get a higher speed DSL line. So my other option is cable. Comcast is available and in my area so that's not the problem. My problem is that our mail server is on-site. I know Comcast blocks common server ports such as those used for mail. I know DSL doesn't block ports so that's why I want to keep them.

So my question is... Is it possible for my small office to have BOTH a DSL connection (for the mail server) and a Cable Connection (for the desktops) and have the mail server and user desktops on the same internal office network?

thanks.

Yeah it is possible.

Depending on how your system is set.

Option 1. Connect both Modems to a Dual WAN Router.

Dual Wan Routers start at $70 and go up to few hundreds depends on the level of control that you need.

Option 2. (If you are using WinXP) Connect the Additional Cable Modem to a separate computer. Put a second NIC in one of the current Network computer and use WinXP Bridging capacity to organize it to on Network.

i assume that you are paying for business class services. If you are then comcast should allow you to have servers. If not, then you can simply forward the email from your server, to comcasts mail servers for sending to the internet. It's also a good choice since many companies are starting to block any email from dynamic ip blocks.
