I was just wondering if it is possible to have a dual monitor setup with a 19 crt for gaming and movies, and then having a 17 lcd on the side when using photoshop and/or programming? I dont care about not having the same type of monitor it just a friend is selling his lcd for really cheap and i wanted to try the dual setup.

Shouldn't be a problem. In fact, depending on your video card, it may actually be easier to have a CRT and an LCD for dual setup because some video cards come with 2 outputs. One is the standard monitor plug and the other is a DVI plug. So you can just connect the CRT to the standard output, while the LCD connects to the DVI plug.

Thats assuming the LCD has a DVI connector. Some newer ones have DVI only, SOme newer ones have Both, and some, invcluding some of the newer ones only have the D-sub 15 pin RGB -ala standard VGA connector....
