Possible DVD Drive Issue

When making a DL dvd from dvdfab and using nero as the burn engine I get an issue with my system. When the burning first starts and it looks for the discs my system locks up temporarily. I have 3 Samsung SH-S223L installed. When I copy from the 1st and 2nd drives it is fine it is only when burning to the 3 drive there is an issue.

My motherboard is an Evga x58 E760. I also have 2 VelociRaptors installed and 1tb black drive. Is there a way I can tell if it is the cable or the drive?
 
Simple test: unplug the cable from one of the drives that works fine and plug it into the one that does not. If it still does not work, it's the drive at fault. If it works, the problem is in the cable or the mobo port that WERE being used for the "bad" drive. Start swapping from there.
