Someone fixed their DPC latecy issues by setting their Vcore to AUTO.

Edit: He updated his thread, apparently it's not fixed after all. Sorry.

Gigabyte has just released final BIOSes for many of their older boards. F3 final for my EP35-DS3R seems to have fixed the cold boot issues. DPC latency was also drastically improved on my board--except when CPU-monitoring utilities are used. Try the new BIOS.

I was getting solid spikes in the 2000 range with the F3 bios on my DS3P.

Just updated to the final F4 bios posted on the 18th and my latency is solid around 50, with a few spikes in the 400 range if I am scrolling, loading stuff, etc which is completely normal.

Glad to see this has been fixed. Hopefully people that were following the locked DPC latency thread get wind of this and update their machines as this 'imaginary' problem seems fixed now.

Not fixed here with the latest F13 final BIOS for DS3. Getting lots of spikes in the 1000 range and frequently in 2000 and higher.

@keeper: Try turning off the power saving features in your bios. The updated bioses had new cpus added, and "updated DES" which indicates the issue was with their power saving technology.
