The signs said "entire store up to 20% off", which as far as information content goes, lies somewhere between 'mostly useless' and 'completely useless'. I talked to a couple of people there and this is what I learned:
1) today is the first day of liquidation
2) they don't know when the actual closure is
3) discounts are not marked and will be taken at the register
4) the liquidation company is very efficient and has everything worked out in the computer already.
Aside from the 10% off notebooks that one of the people mentioned, I asked about cameras, blank DVDs, and ps3's (yes, I'm dreaming). Of those, I learned that the DVDs (and all storage media) are 10% off. The I did not get a clear answer on the others, although I'd imagine it would be an even lower markdown than the DVD's (and the guy was still under the illusion that ps3s were going for 1k on eBay). I'll probably try again in a week to see if I can score some cheap component video cables.
