Office Depot is advertising Glenaire package of Visor Deluxe and Activelink wireless module for $180 - $100 MIR starting 12/16. Item number is 593-841. Use 20% off coupon found elsewhere for $36 off. Final price is $180 - 36 coupon - $100 MIR = $44. If you can sell Activelink on a common auction site, it is even less.

One caveat - it is $200 now online. They will either drop it tomorrow or you would need to call with a request for PM to B&M store. Second, rebate might require activation of service. I checked OM site and couldn't find the rebate (there is one from Skytel that requires activation, but that doesn't look like same rebate).

Anyway, it is not a confirmed deal, but it might be worth checking into.

Is this a OD specific MIR? Just want to know if it would work with the one I got from CompUSA...;)

Where is the rebate from, the manufacturer or Office Depot? If it is from the manufacturer, good, but if it is from Office Depot, beware. I don't see it on their site so hopefully it is a mfg rebate. I am currently waiting on $90.00 worth of rebates from the Maxtor hard drives a couple of months ago. From what I have heard, Express Group, the company that handles the rebate offers has a terrible reputation and is almost impossible to get ahold of. Don't want to be a thread crapper, just a word of caution before you buy something from them expecting a $100.00 rebate. Otherwise great deal, cheapest I could find was through WalMart for $99.00 w/o the Glenayre modem.

Good call Clammy. I had seen scans of the ad but the bottom was cuttoff and I overlooked the print above the visor. Missed the cUSA deal cuz the salespeople are freakin' morons..Might have to consider this if the rebate is legit. Thanks.

There is a $100 rebate for the Palm VIIx at OD.com that says you have to activate the Expanded Wireless Plan ($24.99/mo) or the Unlimited Plan ($44.99/mo) to get the rebate. I don't know if the rebate for the Visor Deluxe has a similar requirement or not. If it is required, $24.99 would eat up the rebate in 4 months.

still $199 online.
Yes. OD rebate takes forever if send to Walled Lake, MI.
Take a month after send to show up on site (expressgroup.com), and another 2 months now, no check yet....

BTW, you have to order by item# and enter 593-841. No description after that.
