I was at my local Office Depot Store and saw that they had the Pinnacle Systems Studio DC10 Plus video capture cards for $25.99. There were two at my local store and I bought one of them thinking it was a good deal. Any opinions, comments?

The Pinnacle DC10Plus is not Win2k or WinXP compatible. Pinnacle has promised to release a WinXP driver but also said the same about the win2k driver about 6 months ago.

Great deal for a Win98se vid capture... but don't buy it if you plan on using an Nt based os.

I will sell mine if anyone can't get one locally.

No it's not. TV is analog, and although people often equate the scanlines to mean 480 resolution, there's no such thing as the 720 or 640. Both of those resolutions are ridiculously excessive for TV anyway. 720x480 is NTSC DVD standard, but only digitally -- that is, it's stored on the disk that way, but that's not how it gets displayed.

BTW, is this a bt8x8-based card?

Is this a dead model? Not available at Bestbuy or Compusa. They have something called Version 7.
