Okay, I've tried just about everything, and come to the conclusion that my motherboard has died, any ideas to try would be great. I came home from work and noticed that my computer would not boot...so I messed with the power cords for a bit to no avail. The computer ran flawlessly for about 8 months. I get no fans spinning, no beep codes, no ASUS voice problem thing...just the green LED that the board is getting power. Here's what I've checked/done, reseated all 4 sticks of memory, tried seating just 1 stick in the third slot. Reseated the video card and CPU/heatsink. Tried known-good PSU. Reset CMOS jumper/battery. Replugged all front panel/case fans/power cables. Checked for heat damage/blown caps. Tried shorting the front power panel, incase the power button on the front of the case was damaged....and that's pretty much all I could think to do, any help would be appreciated. My system is Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe, AMD 4200x2, 4x256MB Corsair PC3200, Ati x850xt pe. Thanks.

Was the psu you swapped in more powerful than your "old" one? If so, it does sound like your motherboard has bit the dust. But, you need to try a known-good cpu in it, before you do anything else.

Wouldn't he be able to just connect a case speaker and see if it beeps?

I am having a similar problem. I took everything off of the motherboard except the CPU. I don't get any error beeps at all. So I assumed my board was dead and not even trying to POST.

The PSU that I tested it with is actually the exact same as the one that the system had before, I have 2 of the same case, they are both antec 400 watt smart power PSUs. I also pulled the CPU out of the system completely to see if it would spin fans or anything, and it didn't (not sure if that just happens because there's no CPU or just another effect of a damaged board), but thanks for the replies....going to try to get another 939 processor, but I think I'd have to buy one.
