Especially when they didn't come out and say it. Triumphed blathered on about nonsense and I retorted that what he said was nonsense and that he had nothing to back up what he said and was only speaking out of ignorance or prejeduce. He replaid that talking to me was like talking to a 3 year old and I replied "How's it feel to be out debated by a 3 year old". There is nothing to win when you are arguing with a closed minded person who's sole argument is based on ignorance and/or prejudice.

Is it even possible for you to engage in discussion with someone whom you disagree with, without doing this?

Only when it's someone I respect. It's exremely difficult to respect someone that posts "All funding of AIDS research should be stopped."

Actually this is the way I believe most diseases will have to be dealt with in the future. The human bodies natural defense is to take a virus that is present and produce anti bodies to stop the virus. But science has taken the route of anti virus type treatments which are losing their effectiveness. I hope more research along this line continues.
