Possible "cure" for AIDS?

See here. Looks promising to me, though it's not really a cure. 😛 An ounce of prevention (condoms, clean needles, etc) is still worth a pound of cure.

Talk amongst yourselves.

Interesting how it can be spread through sex... Would that count as a STC? (Sexually Transmitted Cure)

I suppose it could be. 😕 Anybody else have any thoughts to add?

Maybe we should start small...like getting rid of JRun errors, and then work our way up to curing epidemics. 😉

Sounds rather interesting, but guess we will just have to wait and see. As was mentioned in the article, though, it could be somewhat of a concern to see what type of mutation the 'cure' and HIV may incur.

Reason that there will never be a cure for aids: Drug companies make too much money off of the drug cocktails that treat it

Gotta love the Internet. Without it most of us probably would never encounter fscktards such as yourself!

This treatment is a long way off, if ever. Its only been tested in computer models and tissue culture. They're still trying proof of concept. Clinical trails for efficacy and even later safety are not even started yet, but this where most drugs/treatments meet their maker. Given the novelty of this approach, I would guess these trials would be particularly rigourous. I wouldn't expect to see this in man for at least 5 years, and actually in the market for some time after that.

My bet would be this won't make it through clinical trails, probably to fail somewhere in phase 2 (efficacy.) Very interesting approach however.

LOL! That's funny as hell man! 🙂

For some reason I thought this was going to have something to do with nukes and africa. That seems to be everyone's solution to everything now. Just nuke it.

Bingo. Money's in the treatment. Not the cure.

Your mistake was to attribute seriousness to what I posted. I assure you, it was entirely devoid of it.
