I ordered a ze1201 and got the free upgrade from Staples. I still haven't received my notebook yet.

Question: Does the graphics chip in the ze4101 cause instability problems?
2nd Question: Does the the ze4101 contain the notorious ATI Mobility M6 chip?

Anybody know out there?

Now I read that the ATI Mobility M6 is "the worst thing that can happen to you".

I don't want to say it because I supported this model previously and argued with

some other guys, but I have to. If you want to buy ZE4000 with Pentium 4-M

option, be careful. ze4000 is exactly the same with omnibook xe4500, which has low

performance and crash problem because of the ATI Raedon M6 chip , share video

memory, and its driver. The only difference between these two models are their

appearance, believe me. If you try to download the driver from HP website, you'll

find they use the same file.

Following are the chips in ze4000 and xe4500,

CPU: Intel mobile pentium 4 processor-M
Core logic: ALI 1671/1535 + chipset
Display controller: ATI Mobility Radeon M6-C/P
Audio/Modem: Conexant Smart AMC CX20468-21
CardBus controller: TI PC 1520
Keyboard/embedded controller: National PC 87570
Super I/O: Integrated in core logic.
IEEE 1394: TI TSB43AB22
LAN: National NS 83815
802.11b wireless LAN: Ambit with intersil Prism 2.5 chipset
Bluetooth: Ambit with muRata/CSR BlueCore2.
