specs: This is a new computer that I built a month ago.
AMD 3800+X2AM2
Abit KN9 SLI
2GB OCZ Gold 800
EVGA 7900GT 512mb
WD 160GB 16mb SATAII
Maxtor 80GB SATAI (not in RAID)

This started a couple weeks ago, while playing games I would get mostly a BSoD(Stop 0x000000F4 critical system has failed) or the computer would freeze outright. After a couple days even firefox could produce this Error screen. Also during BF2142 my USB ports would go faulty, turning off my mouse and freezing keyboard inputs. After reformatting the hard drive and trying old and new drivers(which didnt change anything) I tried moving the hard drives to different SATA ports, I have 6. Once they were moved to ports 4,5,6 everything has worked fine without any freezing, BSoD, just have a smaller problem posted in Vid section that I always had with random blurry images. So is this a chipset problem, overload? Bad motherboard? If so Id want a new one since I dont have any backups at that point Thanks

But why would it work fine in different SATA ports, I have had zero problems since I changed the connections.

Because they were not abused by low voltage. What is your PSU? Insufficient fluctuating power can cause devices to fail. Better have nice clean output.
