Possible ATA 100 HDD on same cable as ATA 133 HDD...bad thing ??

Hey there,

I have just bought a capture card to do some multimedia things. My HDD is a 40 GB Quantum.
BTW - The drive rocks 😀. Anyway, it's an ATA 100 HDD but I might get a secondary drive that would
be ATA 133. For multimedia things like compression/decompression in Premiere; How would this affect
my comp ?? Would this screw things up for data transfer between both drives ?? Possibly leading to
the ATA 133 having to really be ATA 100 since it's the slowest link ?? The ATA 100 is the primary HDD.

Let me know if any conflicts would arise from this setup. BTW- MOBO MSI KT3 Ultra (Orig). 🙂

Thanks in advance 🙂

You won't notice anything, they are backwards compatiable and there really isn't anything out there that can take advantage of the ATA 133 yet.

Not even ata100 is fully utilised yet!
