Possible Aimbot detector for CS

I havent tried an aimbot, but i read about this on a CS forum and was wondering if it would work

Big big Problem with aimbot, I made a
simple logo, useing GREEN and RED shades
from 255 to 0,
I spray this on the wall and watch my friends
with aim bot just waist all there ammo on it,
if i were to fill a room with the's logos...
JEEEZZ, so be ware! aimbot might be your doom!

(the writing denotes the mentality of most cheats IMHO)

This from a dodgy forum, so i wont post a link. I wonder if this would work, if so it could be pretty damned funny.

I sucked at CS for about the first two to three weeks I played, and I am rather good at FPS games. I suspect that's why CS cheating is a little more prevalent than elsewhere since it's a VERY difficult game to adapt to after having played Q3 or the like. It took me awhile to learn the ropes, so to speak, but I never did consider cheating.

I ran into quite a few cheaters, however, which is frustrating when you're not sure whether they are just REALLY good or are cheating since you don't have the experience to draw on for comparison (well, there's the "walking on hostages" cheat that was REALLY obvious).

I hate peole that cheat at Q3. I suck at the game and would never consider cheating. I was on a server the other day though and everytime I came up on this one player he was shooting at the floor yet he was getting kills the cheating bastard.

AFAIK, aimbots work by detecting a pre-programmed color (I think it's usually blue or green, since blue can't be used in logos), and change the player models to ones which all have blue or green heads, depending on the aimbot cheat. Whenever the aimbot detects the color, it aims at them.

In theory the logo would work, but I don't know if the aimbots fire on sight or just aim, and the logo would be unable to have blue (0,0,255 on the RGB scale), because CS considers all blue in the logo transparency, so if the particular aimbot looks for pure blue, then it'd fail also.

Sounds good in theory, but I'm not sure it's feasable.

never played CS, but I've seen websites with PAGES of cheats for it, from "spiked" models that let you see them thru walls or hiding behind stuff, to aimbots and tons of other things.

aimbots for UT and Q3 too, I've used them out of curiosity (dont play online with my sh!tty 56k modem but I've tried them against bots playing single player) and they work, but not by changing models or anything, just by keeping your mouse pointer aimed at their head. they are extremely jumpy, especially the UT one, you will be aiming at someone using the aimbot, and if someone walks behind you it immediately whips you completely around and aims at him, and sometimes jumps back and forth between the targest, making it obvious you are cheating because your player keeps "spazzing out"


if you come up behind someone and suddenly you are dead from a "HEAD SHOT!" from the dude in front of you, he IS cheating

I don't think anyone who is good is a cheater, but I was playing UT the other night, and I had 100 health and the shield belt (150 armor) and the flak cannon.....this guy runs up to me and killed me with a short burst of the mini-gun. That is total B.S. I have all that armor (he had none) and I'm shooting him at close range with the flak cannon and he kills me quickly with the mini gun? No way. That's the first time I've noticed someone blatantly cheating.
Solution? Just play on servers that have the patch CSHP that downloads when you join. No cheating there.

Uh, he could've had armor. Unless you watched him the entire time since he respawned, he could've easily picked up body armor. Still very fishy, however.
