I am assembling a couple of systems, and was wondering if there were any preferences for the positioning of the peripherals within the case. I assume that the general rule would put the item creating the most heat at the top, but since that would (I think) be the hard disk (which can't really go at the top), it becomes a bit trickier
.
Specifics:
case - Antec 282 (with stock 300W supply) and 80mm front and rear fans
peripherals are DVD, CDRW, floppy, and HD (IBM deskstar (7200 RPM)). One system has an additional HD (smaller, slower, and one assumes cooler). A second HD in the one system, and a bigger, faster one replacing the existing second disk in the other are future possibilities. No other possible additions come to mind...
So, does anyone have a suggestion for ordering or spacing, or does it not really matter? (Yes, I know where the floppy needs to go...)
