im changing my side window soon to fit 2 120 mm fans as intake for my system, but im not to sure on where to drill the holes for placement (as in which area would be most effective). im thinking having an intake directly over the hsf would be good, as well as one below it blowing air on the video card. is there any other setup that would be better than that?

my plan is to have 1 exhaust in the rear, 1 exhaust in the roof and 2 intake on the side window.

oh and if anyone could, whats a good fan controller that is fairly inexpensive, i dont need any card readers or anything, just the rpm controller. (links would be nice)

I would think two 92s on the side cover for better positioning.

Get a Sunbeam Rheobus <$10.

You might consider listing your case type and the hardware it contains.

The best air flow is generally lower front to upper rear. Side panel fans can,but not allways,
disrupt the air flow pattern. I set-up a cheap SkyHawk case with two 92s on the lt.side panel
as intakes and reversed the lower front intake to be an exhaust, this was to make sure air
flowed over the HDDs. This is on an AMD Ahlon 3200 non-OCed. There is a passivly cooled
6200VGA and a Zalman 7000 Al/Cu on the CPU. Nice cool system. I used a Vantec PWM
fan controller. It's very quiet when running on 7V.

Welcome to Anandtech Mr.Monkey. We are a decent lot here a little self absorbed at times

but decent none the less.

One of the side fan should be pulling in air directly to the CPU fan. SO have the intake fan directly across from the cpu fan.
