POSITION:
Computer Information Systems Teacher ? Blairsville, Georgia Campus
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
March 3, 2003 ? 4:00 p.m.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible to the Vice President for Instructional Services, North Georgia Tech, Clarkesville, Georgia Campus, for teaching courses in the Computer Information Systems program on the Blairsville Campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science; Master?s Degree preferred with 18 graduate semester hours of computer science courses. Degree must be from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university. Desirable qualifications include (1) the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, (2) the ability to work flexible hours?day and evening, and (3) the ability to be an active part of instructional and non-instructional activities. Must be able to teach courses in the CIS Networking Specialist degree and diploma programs. Must be MCSE or MCSA certified or be working toward certification with an acceptable projected completion date.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCES:
Must have three years of full-time work experience within the last seven years in the field. Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level is desired.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary is based on an established scale for instructors on a twelve-month contract. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits program.
