Poseidon the movie

Got it this weekend from netflix. From the previews it looked to be a good movie but boy was I wrong. First thing that bugged me was wtf did the giant wave come from all the sudden? Also can they make the characters any more annoying? Half way through I wished most of them died because they were so annoying.

apparently the OP never heard of the original movie, and you can't spoil a movie as old as this one, since the Poseidon story has been an old movie, a made for tv movie iirc, and now a more recent remade movie. spoilers? lol 😉

The effects were amazing, but the movie blew overall... I stopped it, walked away, came back and resumed it at least 3 times. It was like a trainwreck- I couldn't get away...

You could see the plot coming a mile away, too. Every time someone died I cringed because it was so painfully obvious.

However, that said, from a VFX standpoint, it is one of the best films I have seen, and therefore will remain in my collection. The opening 2.5 minute sequence around the ship is amazing.

EDIT: Oh, and Emmy Rossum makes any movie watchable.

Looked nice, but man that little kid drove me more nuts than anything else in that movie, I hopping he was going to die just so I wouldn't have had to continue through more suffering.
