Speaking as a parent I hate these type of incidents. I feel awful when I imagine the pain and fear that the child must have felt.

Speaking as an attorney; people like this or the SOB who threw his children into a river shouldn't even be afforded a trial before a slow painful death. I think in these cases the murderer should be executed in the same manner as his victims.

why oh why do they have to show the mother screaming upon just finding out her son was killed? that was in poor taste... very poor taste. :|

edit: wait a minute... so the police returned and found the mother and the boyfriend who allegedly did it and now they are both "persons of interest"? wtf?

This has been all over the news here in Hawaii. Pretty freaking sad, but the mom was a bad parent from what I have heard here on the local news.

And the night before, in Hawaii, my cousin was bludgeoned to death in the street, in front of dozens of witnesses. Her 6'2", 340 lbs Samoan boyfriend unloaded numerous blows to her head with the butt of a shotgun, striking her in axe like fashion...two guys tried to intervene, the Samoan murder pointed the shotgun at one and told him to step back, and then the Samoan beat another man, 69 years old, with one strike to the back of his head, knocking him unconscious and sending him to the hospital is serious condition...

What the hell is with all these posts for vigilante justice? Revenge isn't civilized.

Civilized? My god, sometimes reverting to our animal instincts is better than our 'proper civilized duty.' Pieces of shit who do that deserve nothing better from our 'civilized world.'
