Anyone have any info on Point Of Sale Systems as they are designed, implemented, and maintained in the Hotel industry. Need to understand their architecture, engineering, and troubleshooting. TIA.
 
Bars, restaurants, gift shops I think all utilize them. Also if anyone has an understanding of how the process of registering guests, and the cards they are given for room access work would be appreciated.

Hotels use what is called facilities management systems, very different then the retail systems referred to as point of sale.
