POS Promise TX2 133 IDE controller card....

Just tried this card with four different mobos (clean installs with Maxtor 40gig drive) and they all have little problems here and there that only goes away when I pull the Promise card out and use the mobo's IDE port. Whats the track record of this Promise card? A lot of problems or am I just unlucky?

RanDum72: I bought a Promise Tx2 ultra133 ideo controller board, and I installed it in a PC running Win Xp. I didn't have any problems during installation. I haven't noticed a problem after 2 months. Maybe you got a lemon controller card. It is running with a Maxtor 40gb ultra133 hard drive.
