POS Hard Drive I got on Ebay

Long story short, I bought a Western Digital 250 GB 8MB IDE hard drive on ebay. It was in used condition, being sold by a company (small printing company, ala google). The description listed that the hard drive would show up in windows, but they couldn't get it to work. Knowing the horribly inept tech people some small companies have (non ATOT guys, obviously) I took a chance and got it for $30 shipped. I plug it in, and its exactly as they said it was, except they forgot to mention the GRINDING NOISE it makes. Hmmm, so, it's not "We couldn't get it working" but rather "DEFECTIVE". Anyways, there is no warrant option with WD, as it had a 1yr warranty that had run out. Considering what to do with it. Options range from reselling on ebay to some other sucker (feel guilty doing that) to sending it through some @ssholes windshield (this is not really an option, im kidding). So, what does the might ATOT think I should do with it?

**EDIT
This was a while ago, it's been collecting dust, so bitching to the company I got it from is not really an option.

**EDIT(2)
I should have known better, but this was when a 250 still when for around 200+, so if it would have worked...
