So after Eliot Spitzer was caught in a prostitution scandal, in stepped Paterson. He's never been voted into the office and the election is next year. He has been doing a terrifically bad job, including the crafting of an unGodly huge government spending increase next year.

"We're not in the post-racial period," Paterson said.

The most formidable potential rival, state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo [IS WHITE], outperforms Paterson in polls even among black voters.

This is going to go down really well with voters. Nobody loves more than to be told their concerns are invalid because they're just being racist. Certainly no chance it's related to yet more tax increases, which are always appreciated during a recession.

*8/25/2009* This idiot isn't letting it go.

"Part of what I feel is that one very successful minority is permissible, but when you see too many success stories, then some people get nervous," Paterson told political blogger Gerson Borrero in a report posted Monday.

His reelection chances are fvcking shot. Thank you, Paterson, for sinking yourself.

I work in NYC and read about this this morning. Total disgrace. But I suppose when you're a total fvckup as governor and will likely be asked to step down so Cuomo can run, there's nothing to lose pulling out the race card. This whole area (NY and NJ) needs an enema to purge incompetent and corrupt mostly Democratic politicians from office. I pray the voters wake up some day.

This is the same guy that said reports about Walmart selling out on TVs and cash, along with Wegmans, Top's, and Target due to his $175,000,000 medicaid giveaway extravaganza were "anecdotal"

Oh, this is typical of NY politics. That's why we won't have Medicaid reform here, ever.

People (this guy included) need to stop playing the race card where it doesn't apply.
