who isnt bling blinging?

i have a 1986 silver black and rust colored toyota 4 runner.
235k and runs only when it feels like it.

anyone else have a junker?
😀

Not really a junker, but sort of .

In case you want to know about this car, here goes:

I got rid of it with only 118,000 miles. At that point, the computer no longer had any control over the timing and/or idle speed. You had to have your foot on the gas to start it. The A/C would drag down the engine, but the computer wouldn't bump it back up. So I had to manually set the idle speed high so that it wouldn't stall when cold. You could idle at about 25 mph in drive 🙂

Oh yeah, and I did TONS of work to this car over the year and a half that I owned it.

I'm buying a 1983 Celica GT-S this week. It's in pretty good shape, never been hit, minor rust in a couple spots.

Stealing it for $350, but I'll be letting my brother drive it indefinitely.

RWD, more HP & torque than a current ricer.

Not bad for $350.

Your sig links don't work for me. 😕 Although I already know what kind of cars you drive.

My old car was a 1987 Cutlass Ciera. I got it with 187,000 miles on it, and left it with 235,000 miles on it. The driver's side door didn't open from the inside, the multi-function windshield-wiper/cruise-control/turn-signal/lights arm broke, and would fall off periodically at inconvenient times. I left a leaky car battery in my backseat one day, and as a result the acid began eating away the fabric on the seat. Once while driving home, my hood wasn't fastened securely and flew up and smacked into my windshield; as a result, the hood never opened properly. If I would put anything in the radiator, it would just end up in a puddle underneath the car. I had the A/C fixed 3 seperate times before I gave up. Oh, and near the end, it basically wouldn't go above 60 (and would take extremely long amounts of time even get up to that).

I have never seen a K-Car in that nice of condition. I'm impressed.

HAHAHA. Notice that the car is white? Well, it is really easy to match white paint. There was plenty of bondo around the rear wheels. There were lots of dents and scratches that I repaired with a can of spray paint from Pep Boys. The front wheel wells had rusted through, and I repaired them with old license plates and sheet metal screws and undercoat. 🙂 The floor boards had rusted through, and I actually had someone weld in plates. But everyone thought that the car looked really good! hahahaha

Yey! 1990 Dodge Spirit... 😀 ...been passed down from my dad...to my mom... now me... and its still running... and its a salvage vehicle. It gets me where i need to go though. But it looks like isht when my friend comes over with his G35, which his parents bought him :Q, and parks right next to it. 🙁

Duly noted. Sounds like the kind of bodywork that my friend does. On the other hand though, license plate metal doesn't really rust so it wasn't the worst choice you could have made. So your car is a "20 footer" then. Looks great from 20 feet, just don't get any closer. 🙂

I was just going to post about my old '82 GT. 😀 I have never seen one of these cars that didn't have a rusty trunk lid, but they're fun cars that run forever. Mine was ass brown, so the rust didn't show that bad anyway. 😛 I have its big brother now, the '87 Supra.

(Paid $300 USD for it, sold it for $400 USD)

I gave my '81 slowmaro to one of my nephews about four years ago, it had 150K on it at the time.

Now, I'm driving a '91 Dakota with 110K on it(318ci and a nice stereo, though).

?92 Civic, 158,000 miles. Dented in left front and left rear. I think I?ll leave the dents in. 😉

Last car was a ?94 Saturn with 216,000 miles.
