I know Port 80 is for web etc ...

I'm having problems with my internal LAN ---> Linux box (firewall) ---> Cable/Internet

what ports are these ... anyone know?
1. REAL audio/video
2. MIRC
3. ICQ File transfers
4. SETI@home
5. Napster
6. Netmeeting

I need to open these ports to get them going right?

I'm not sure if all of these are right, but I'm pretty sure 🙂

1. Real Audio/Video - 7070
2. IRC - 6665-6669
3. ICQ - >= 1024 (I think)
4. Seti@Home - Don't think there's a special one
5. Napster - No specific one; configurable in program I'm pretty sure
6. NetMeeting - >= 1024 or 1503

Linux firewall... yeah I think you need to open them. Or at least some of them.

Netmeeting doesn't work behind a FW/NAT w/o paying a for a special setup. ICQ needs a masquarading module if you want chats/file sharing to work. seti uses web ports
