This is my statement on the whole thing. We did it it's done. Lines were hurdled over. I also think the combo of the audio and the comments together may have been too much for most to handle.

I have become so numb to the horrific things that happen in this world that I sometimes forget there are still people who feel.

I in no way meant to be insensitive to anyone. My comments on this were inapropriate.

This thing that happened to this guy is horrific. He was a guy who was just trying to help out and they killed him. Everyone should be OUTRAGED!!

I did not mean anything by what I did on the air. Just didn't think it through. You guys are right. That's always been the beauty of this show. You always tell us how you feel.

It may not always be what I want to hear , but at least it's honest.

That's why I hope you can except my apology if you were in anyway offended.

I am sorry.

Don't listen if you don't want to , but just understand that I am human and I make mistakes and have learned lots from this already.

Thanks for your time.

marconi

I can't say I'll miss him, the whole show was rather tasteless & generally grating.

I've seen him a couple time at concerts, he is huge. He has no neck.

One of their many stunts involved him eating cereal + milk out of a toilet.

People here at work were talking about it, basically they played the audio over & over again, laughing more each time. Then they went through it slowly, a few seconds at a time, making comments on each segment.

That's pretty sick. I found the audio to be the most disturbing part.

Good. No one deserved it more. This isn't the first time Marconi and Tiny have been way out of line.

Now if only Dog-Face can do something to get kicked off the air. He and Marconi are the reason I listen to nothing but CD's in my car anymore.

Once upon a time, KUFO and KNRK actually played cool music...

agree++ Remember the whole stunt about riding the telephony pony? What a waste. If I want to listen to something other than music, i'll tune into a talk show. I also changed my listening habbits as well. Now maybe I can go back to NRK without the CRAP from those guys.

Although... Trick or Treating for beer was one of the coolest things I've ever heard on the radio :D

Someone in management should have been fired too though. Its not like management didn't know about their little stunt. No stunt gets on the air without approval. In the radio biz, this stuff happens all the time. They let the DJs run the controversial stunt to get publicity. Publicity is always good for the companies. Then they fire the DJs and pretend to be all shocked so that they get more publicity.

Well, that's where we're wrong. LOTS of stunts get on the air without management's approval. You think they have a manager sitting right there approving every single thing that they say before they say it? For quite a while they had this brittish manager guy in control who would actually talk on the air, but he turned out to be just as bad as they were. What ever happened to that guy? Nick was his name?

If the poor peon manning the dump button had cut that, he would be my hero right now.

You mean the censor? The censor doesn't censor an entire show or long portions of it.

most if not all shock jock shows have a guy manning a dump button. It is there in case someone curses. He is generally a peon, not some sort of empowered censor.

Are you sure dog-face is still on the air? He isn't on afternoons on KUFO, it is those asshats court and boomer now (not any better than dog-face), and the morning is Howard Stern. I thought that dog-face got canned a while ago, although I could be wrong.

"Sigh"...........I wish that they would just play music in the morning.........Back to my cd player..........

That's more or less completely wrong. This was not an organized "stunt," it was apparently an off-the-cuff bit, improvised once the subject came up. There is no reason to think anyone in management would have known anything about it.

I liked Dogface & Porkchop!! :p

They have been off KUFO for a while. They were "promoted" to some Seattle station, apparently.

They were kind of cool for a while. Then they just got sort of... meh. I'm kind of enjoying court and boomers run for Mayor but that's about the only thing. Fire them all and just train a monkey to switch cd's or something... It can't be that hard.
