Same price.....$53 a month plus taxes ($60). Way too expensive, but it's all I qualify for besides dialup. I canceled my phoneline, so I save $25 a month on that tho.

Bastards!

Unfortunately we have DirecTV Satelitte (with DirecTIVO which I love) and DSL.

If we didn't have DirecTV, I'd ditch the landline phone and go with cable TV/net.

Add Salem to the list; I just had my brother test it, and it came out as 3480 kbps(*sniff* I miss the good ole' @home days). Salem(and all points north to Portland) are extensions of the Portland system, so everyone should be in the same situation.

Is cable not available or something? Or do you get a good deal on DSL?

It's 60$, but we also get free Basic cableTV.

How do you get DSL for only 27$? Total?? Here in Portland, that's less than the cost of just the DSL line.. then you have to pay another 10 - 20$/mo for your ISP of choice. So it's the same price, but only half the speed.. or less than half the speed if your with Qwest.

$60 for 3000/256 is not a bad price, people who think so need to see the cost of a DS1 1.544/1.544 or even a partial one. Also I NEVER saw the low ping responses on ADSL or even VDSL compared to Cable.

$60 while people are having to pay $24.99 for AOL or having DSL and having to pay for a phone line ($30 after taxes) and only getting 640K or less are the one's getting burned.

Ahh.

What's wrong with ditching your landline/DSL and getting cable internet? No reason you wouldn't be able to keep your satellite.

I wish you could pay-per channel or something. I just need the networks, hbo, discovery, history , and the big sports channels.

Thanks.

My 1 year DSL contract should expire July 2004. I'm currently paying $80/mo for phone and DSL, should be a nice savings.

Damn, yeah.

We have the package where if your a Cable Internet and Cable TV customer, they take 10$ off your bill. Since Basic Cable is 12$, it only comes out to 2$.. virtually free. I think the cable bill without that is something like 57$.
