Portland, OR - Days after NBA commissioner David Stern handed down a $25,000 fine to Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez for comments detrimental to the league, it's being reported by insiders that Portland rookie GM Rich Cho is in talks with officials to trade the disgruntled sharpshooter for a Five Guys Burgers and Fries franchise to be located somewhere in the Rose Quarter.
News of the trade has been met with mostly positive sentiment. A Five Guys in the Rose Quarter would add just as much to a Blazers playoff run as Rudy did last year, and instead of whining and brick laying, fans can expect delicious cheeseburgers, dogs, and fries.
Devante Carruthers, a longtime Blazer fan and NE Portland resident is pleased: "I think it's great. Rudy is a little bitch anyway, and that Burgerville on MLK and Wiedler is always packed. We need another place to get a good burger. Five Guys will also play more defense than Rudy did last year in the playoffs."
