Portfast, Linkfast, Backbonefast

Might be wrong but I'm almost certain all those features work on both of those, as well as traditional spanning-tree....
 
Pretty sure the commands would "take" on an interface but they only affected "traditional" STP. RSTP, RVST+ etc didn't use them because the equivalent was built in to those protocols. It was cisco's early attempts to fix limitations in STP that then was fixed in the "rapid" versions.
 
That makes total sense guys, I had it bass ackwards. Thank goodness they are built into later protocols because re-convergence without them is BS :colbert:
