Also confused, the article says Wednesday October 4th. Today is October 4th but it sure isn't Wednesday :p I hope they don't mean next year.. though knowing Valve ;)

Haven't actually tried it but it appears it was released today. A 763MB update for Portal 2 was downloaded via Steam this morning.

Out tomorrow, the 4th part must have been a typo as it says 5th now.

+1. Have a lot of people received the DLC? I'm stilling showing that no DLC is available.

So now I understand that although everyone refers to this as "DLC", it is actually more like an update and is not shown on Steam as a separate DLC. So we all might already have it.

It's in the game for me... not sure what you guys are missing. They added a new "challenge mode" to the main menu which is the single player additions. There's also new co-op stuff but I didn't check that out.

Played through the co-op the other day. I felt it was a good bit harder than most of the other co-op maps (though maybe that was because I was pretty tired when I was playing). The dialogue and game play is awesome as ever.
And the DLC automatically downloads on the PC as an update, so unless you turned auto update off, you got it already (its about a 750MB download).

Played around briefly with the challenge mode, and its just what you'd expect.

Anyway, exciting for the co-op stuff, I hope they release more :)

Okay, I see it -- I just needed to verify the game cache.

It just doesn't appear to fit what (up until now) I thought the definition of "DLC" was. If Steam automatically sends it to you free of charge and without any action on your part, then isn't that more of an update? Shouldn't "download" indicate that you have consented, either by paying or not, to add that content to your installation? Rage shows the Authority Pack and Sewers in the DLC list, for example.

I know, semantics. I'll shut up now.

The DLC was a fun romp into the psyche of glad0s and shows valve is not above making fun of all the review sites calling portal 2 "ART"

Managed to finish the main game in single player. Not really that interested in going back to play any more. Partly because I have a hard time figuring out the puzzles, the game got a bit long and tedious for me. I basically really enjoyed it a lot, especially GLADOS and her humor. Wheatly on the other hand was initially funny but got on my nerves after a while, he was just too hyper. So I know most people will disagree, but I thought the game could have been a bit shorter.
