Heres the deal... I was wondering if you guys have any creative, and hopefully inexpensive ideas to power laptops, stereos, consoles, etc. on a coach bus.

In the past, what we've done is busted out light sockets, and covertely stolen power from the bus... this would be an option, but i'm not sure whether i posess the skills/knowledge to do this, and whether i'm willing to take the possible consequences

My initial thoughts were to find an UPS, but i was curious about how long that would power a laptop, and whether there would be a better (and hopefully cheaper) option... perhaps some sort of battery similar to an UPS, but without all the unncecessary power surge gadgets integrated in and such?

Any input is appreciated, and i apologize in advance if this is too obscure/off topic for this forum

probably your only option is to buy another laptop battery, unless you have a cigarette lighter near you, in which case you can buy an adapter.

hey ... why not get a power inverter that connects to your vehcile's battery and then plug your laptop into it? or even bring a TV and a DVD player into the bus for those long trips? check out ebay and wal mart... the price range is $30 to a couple hundred = i havent seen any over 200 though.

I've used them before... they are safe. just dont spill anything on it = can cause a fire!
