Portable power options

So I'm thinking of setting up shop at the MIT Swapfest come April, in an attempt to find homes for some of my least-needed tech junk. Because it's primarily in a parking garage / lot, I'm curious as to my options for powering some of my equipment, mostly for on-the-spot proof of functionality tests but possibly for actual running of stuff for the duration of the 8hr event. I know about DC-AC inverters, but some of my stuff is rather big (Sun Enterprise 4500, anyone?) and I'm not sure about the chops of my vehicle's battery/alternator ('96 Nissan Pathfinder LE, it's no Tonka truck but no uber-workhorse either). And a liquid fuel generator wouldn't be tolerated noise-wise, I'm sure. In fact, nobody seems to be running their engines at all.

Thoughts?
