Portable Power for Notebooks

lookin to get my gf either a car charger for her new dell laptop or a second battery.

i was wondering are those generic car chargers like from targus that are only 20-30 bucks ok or not good for the laptop?

also, is there anywhere to get a good battery for the dell for less than the pricey dell website?

thanks.

Check the power brick for the laptop, on it will be listed the number of Watts that it pulls in from the wall. Make sure you get a car adapter with at least that many. If it is a new laptop (less than 2 years old) and isnt a beast of a DTR then a 90W inverter should do the trick

thanks.

anybody know where to get batteries cheaper than from dell without compromising quality, or if that is possible?
