Portable mpeg-4 video players

I'm looking to get a handheld mpeg-4 video player (xvid to be exact). I know the ipod videos play back plain .mp4, I assume they require xvid transcoded to vanilla mp4?

I am very eager to hear any suggestions. I am particularly interested in sandisk and iriver experiences... TIA

I saw the woot but I was looking for something smaller, like a larger (physically) hard drive based player--I'd like something a tick more portable--also ogg support would be great.
