Portable Keyboard for Ipaq not working...

I just got the portable keyboard for my new Ipaq and I can't get it to type. I've plugged in the power cable (I don't even know if I need it, but I guess so), and my Ipaq says that the power is connected, but I the keyboard won't type when I try to use pocket word. Anyone with an Ipaq know what's going on? Thanks.
 
Umm...your portable keyboard has a power cord? Or do you mean the iPAQ? The iPAQ doesn't need to be plugged in to use a keyboard. What keyboard is it? Did it come with any drivers? Details please.
