I am looking for a heater that can effectively heat a room that is about 250 sq ft and has 9 ft ceilings. I have a vornado electric fan heater and it is great for rooms that are 1/2 that size, but it doesn't have the power to do the bigger room when the outdoor temps are in the 30s as they are now.
I prefer something electric. I have tried a portable propane heater and it didn't do much since it is radiant and by the time it heats the room it's out of gas...not just that but it's probably not a great idea to leave a gas heater running indoors if it is unvented. I'm aware of those heaters you can mount on top of a 20 lb tank...but I don't really want a 20 lb tank of propane inside.
I'm going to go to the store and would like to buy one that will quickly (within 30 mins or so) heat the room up. Recommendations???
