Portable document scanner for really long documents

Hello folks,

I need a portable scanner to scan documents of size of 30 inches long. I prefer it to be portable and around $150 mark.

If it would be one document, I would just stitch it using Photoshop, but there are a ton of documents of this size and doing it for all those is too time consuming job.

I looked around and found Brother DS-720D is one of those scanners that can scan longer than 30 inch document. Is there any that I did not find?

Many thanks in advance.

Have you looked at those 'Neat' scanners? The portable is just a long bar that you slide papers through, so I wouldn't imagine there would be any length cutoff.

Yes, I have.

There seems to be lot of negative discussion about the database that Neat software maintains your scans in. I have not read any concrete information on how one could export scans out of it. I assume, it would be easy just as printing to pdf or something, but I can not take that chance, hence looking for alternatives.
