Portable big screens?

I own an IPAQ which I really like because I can carry it around in my pocket. The only problem is that the screen is too small to be really usefull for things like word processing or surfing the web.

I also sometimes travel with a laptop, it is not very heavy but I need to carry it in a bag; but the screen is big enough to do almost everything.

So, naturally I started thinking about if there is a way to carry a 15" screen in your pocket?
I have seen prototypes: Various devices you put in front of the eyes (small screens), foldable screens etc but as far as I know none of these are commercially available.
I know the military uses some devices like this but AFAIK they are not really meant for "ordinary" usage (text).

Is there anything (usefull) out there that I have missed? Anything on the horizon? Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

buying an oled display right now of any reasonable size is EXPENSIVE. good luck trying to interface with an ipaq too, thats probably harder
