portable air conditioner?

can anyone recommend me a portable A/C? i don't have one at my apt...it's 10pm in southern california and i'm dying..........recommends me plzzor omg its the h0t h4x
 
my supervisor at work wanted to get a portable air conditioner and drive around with it in her car...not really sure why she's a supervisor after that night...

What do you mean "slit" kind? You can buy casement window A/Cs you know.

It's the type you flip a lever up and down and the windows open up...sorta like blinds.
 
Walmart sells portable A/C units. That's probably the best route because if you buy it online shipping is going to be around 80 bucks. At least that's the way it was for mine.

I bought this one at BJ's for $400. You still have to stick two tubes out the window, so you'll have to block the empty space. The window kit probaby won't fit that kind of window.

It works pretty well.
 
bleh, i forgot about the tubes. i have no place to stick that out except the door. maybe i should just get a fan.
