Of the analyzers I have looked at all seem to require that a NIC be specified to sniff traffic. Is there on where one can simply input an IP address and Port Number, to analyse the traffic flowing through there? TIA.
Here is a scenario that may shed some light. Let us say a company/organization has an employee who has a dial-up/DSL/cable connection with an ISP for which s/he is being compensated by his/her employer. If the employer wanted to monitor/sniff data packets utilizing certain ports without using the ISP in question, or installing a logger on the employee's computer is this possible and if so how?
