Port Replicator Workaround for Broken Jack

Hi,

I have a Gateway 450ROG notebook that has a broken jack where the power adapter plugs in. I notice there is a port replicator available for this model that has a jack connection on it. Would there be any problems with me using the laptop this way? I wouldn' t have to attach a monitor and keyboard for this to work, would I?

you wouldn't have to attach a keyboard and monitor - just plug the laptop in to the port replicator with power and that should all be fine.

Thanks, That is what I wanted to hear. This way is a lot cheaper than having the jack repaired.
