anyone use port replicators? I just want to know that since my ac port in my laptop is fried(actually fried with the plastic tip melting and the metal corroding and degrading, wether i can use the port replicator to charge and just use my laptop in genreral on ac power.

I havean out of warranty hp pavillion ze5385us and the port replicator i'm looking at is
