Port problems with UT2004...

OK, I am trying to play UT2004 with my brother down the street... when we were in the same apartment it was no problem.. now we both have D-link wireless routers and when i tries to seem me online he can see the server i set up but cant ping me or connect to it...

Initially he couldn't see me until I had the proper ports forwarded. Now that I did that he can see me but cant ping me.. on the samne hand, I cant see him but get n/a for the PING..

What else can i do to make sure he can ping me.. ive tried with firewall down etc..

I have TCP/UDP ports 7777-7788, 27900, and 42292 forwarded

Does your brother have those same ports forwarded to his router? Can you see each other if you join the same server that isn't hosted by yourself or him? What if he hosts the server?

I can't remember any times where I made a server and someone joined from outside of my own network. When I used to play with my brother, we could easily find each other on another, active server.
