port forwarding

I am using sygate now, with one server and one client. I want to set up an ftp server on the client, (server has cable modem) but I have a feeling I need some kind of port forwarding set up to forward all port requests on the IP for, say, port 5000, to my machine (the client). Does sygate have port forwarding configuration? If so, where? If not, what are my options?

yes it does. If you are using 4.0, go to advanced, and then access rules. Add from Our FTP. Then you can select how you want the ports set up. Just use 21 and 21. In the IP box, put the local IP of the FTP server.
