I just got BF 2142 and want to play online. However, the game requires you to have a whole bunch of ports open. My Linksys router only lets you do about 10 ports, not enough for the game. How can I do this without using DMZ?

do you have the latest firmware? maybe the newer version has more forwadable ports.

have you tried a range? instead of doing a rule for each port try this to do multiple ports at a time

if all else fails, a third party firmware like dd-wrt should have what your looking for.

Having ports open is much different than port forwarding. Check what settings you are using. I use a DLink router so I can't give you the specifics on what you need to set but there is a section for applications on the DLink that you can add ports on which opens them up. Port forwarding would be for running a server.
