Port Forwarding with bit torrent

That pretty much sums it up. Does anyone know if port forwarding on your router really makes a difference in download speed when downloading torrents?
 
Yeah, in some cases, it can make a huge difference.....I'd say going from 20-30kpbs to 300+ would be pretty noticeable.
 
Download speed is based on your upload speed, so if you don't have UPnP, port forwarding, DMZ, (something to let your computer serve on those ports), it will be a lot slower.
